Happy MOTHER'S Day!

I hope that everyone enjoyed Mother's Day!
I woke up late, ate some egg casserole, and then got everyone dressed for family portraits! Finally, the weather was cooperative. We headed out to Overland Park Arboretum for several reasons: the kids and I like to go walking there, it's free to get in, and it's usually pretty quiet and uncrowded. Of course, today there was a huge plant sale, so everyone was there.

We still managed to get all of the shots we wanted. There were a lot of mothers with their families, cameras and tripods!

Usually there is a bench here next to the pond. Last night, I had envisioned this photo with my family sitting on the bench. We get there this morning and the bench is missing... Gregg said, "So, let's move that bench over there!" He and I moved a bench to our desired location and Twa-dah!

We were photographing on this bridge and had a time trying to get the right shots - there were people who wanted to cross over, people who wanted to photograph on the same bridge, etc.

This photo is slightly off-center on purpose - we wanted to get the waterfall in the background. And, we found the missing bench from earlier! They moved it in front of the falls.

I had a wonderful mother's day, complete with cards from Gregg and the kids! We finally got our family portraits done. I couldn't keep myself from doing some laundry and dishes.... It was a good day!

So many blessings! What great photos of such loved people. The photography is great but the love I see radiating from each of you is the miracle! Love you!

your kids have got to be the cutest munchkins I've ever seen.
And boy does it ever freak me out that you look more like your mom every day. How cool is that?
